Just when the Giants offensive line started to improve, Marc Colombo was fired.
The Giants are replacing Colombo with Dave DuGuglielmo, as first reported by NFL Network and confirmed by The Post. Giants coach Joe Judge interviewed both DuGuglielmo and Colombo in the offseason and went with Colombo — who came over with offensive coordinator Jason Garrett from the Dallas Cowboys — for his first staff.
Rookie left tackle Andrew Thomas got off to a miserable start but has begun to improve. The Giants are playing seven offensive linemen — three guards and three centers — in a rotation.
DuGuglielmo was a Giants assistant offensive line coach from 2004 to 2008 and has bounced around the NFL, including a stop with the Jets in 2012 and most recently with the Dolphins last season.
